Technical Conference of States on the Expansion of Kampala Declaration on Migration, Environment and Climate Change (KDMECC)
The governments of Uganda and Kenya will host a technical conference in August 2023 (23rd to 25th) to propose expanding the Kampala Ministerial Declaration on Migration, Environment, and Climate Change (KDMECC) through an addendum (KDMECC-AFRICA). The conference, in partnership with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change's (UNFCCC) Regional Collaboration Center, aims to develop a continental framework to address the nexus between climate change and human mobility.
